Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Services — Questions Answered

Short, direct answers to the questions London businesses ask before booking a refrigeration or air conditioning engineer: what each service involves, how long it takes and what it costs.

How much does commercial refrigeration repair cost in London?

Engineer time is £120+VAT per hour with a one hour minimum. Most fridge, freezer and cold room faults are diagnosed within the first hour, and any parts are quoted in writing before they are fitted. There is no separate call-out fee.

How much does commercial air conditioning repair cost?

The same rate applies: £120+VAT per hour with a one hour minimum. Split, cassette, ducted and VRF/VRV faults are fault-found first, then parts and refrigerant are priced before work continues.

How often should commercial refrigeration be serviced?

Most commercial fridges, freezers and cold rooms should be serviced at least once a year, and kitchens or sites running equipment 24/7 often book two or more visits a year. Servicing cleans condensers, checks door seals, temperatures and refrigerant, and records the results.

How often should air conditioning be serviced?

Commercial air conditioning is usually serviced once or twice a year. Systems above certain refrigerant quantities also need periodic leak checks under F-Gas rules, which we record on the service report.

Do you offer emergency refrigeration call-outs?

Yes. Emergency refrigeration and air conditioning breakdowns are attended 24/7 across London and the M25, with same-day attendance usually available. The hourly rate stays the same.

Do you install cold rooms and air conditioning?

Yes. We survey the space, size the equipment, install and commission walk-in cold rooms, freezer rooms and commercial air conditioning, and hand over with written records.

Are your engineers F-Gas certified?

Yes. Our engineers are F-Gas certified to handle refrigerants, which is a legal requirement for working on refrigeration and air conditioning systems in the UK.
